Easy Sunday

Sunday was still rather dreary and wet, but at least the water tables will be replenished. We are blessed that our well didn't go dry during the drought this summer, but we do take measures to conserve water.

It mainly sprinkled today, but tonight it has rained a little heavier. It's cool enough to get by with just opened windows and no air conditioning at all.

I did work today. When I got home, I got pinto beans out of the freezer and brought them to simmering. Then I put a colander over them and let the steam do its work on slices of homemade sourdough bread. I cooked some rice and some fried potatoes to go with the beans. It was a warming and satisfying meal on this dark, wet, cool day.

I helped Son look for a particular cord he needed to do some work on someone's i-device. We found it, at last, though it looked as if we wouldn't for a time there. He's busy doing whatever tech-y stuff he does to those things now.

Other than that, I've just been watching Netflix on my laptop. Right now I'm watching the Star Trek: Enterprise series. I like science fiction, especially outer space and alien stuff.
