Wednesday news
Another busy day! We went to Danny's radiation appointment this morning. Got there a little early but they took him right back anyway.
Then we met Brandon at the flea market and got the booth cleared out except for one large shelf. He'll have to pick that up in his pick-up truck in the morning before he goes to work.
When we got home I dealt with some of the books to upload to Ebay. We also tidied up the house a bit. Not much a person can do in such a small place, especially when I'm trying to do a little home-based work here.
Danny hasn't felt very well today. He's tired and having some chest and back pain in the location of the tumor. I'm hoping he feels better in the morning.
We'll go to radiation and come straight back home. Danny's family might already be here when we get home, but the door will be open and they can just make themselves at home if they are here. I'll make sure there's fresh coffee made, iced tea in the fridge, and I'll put my little dog out on her leash so she doesn't drive them crazy with her barking. She barks a lot at new people.
I have some clothes that came from my flea market booth that I'll donate to the evacuees who've come to our locale. The clothes are nice and I'd love to know some folks got some use from them. We took some children's clothes to the local homeschool store yesterday. They are a collection station as is the place where our 18 year old daughter works. So I'll let her take the flea market clothes with her on the way to work.
I wish I had more to give. I just can't imagine the anguish of the people whose lives have been turned upside down because of one storm. They've literally lost everything except the clothes on their backs. And the children! Oh, my. The poor children must be so fearful and dismayed right now.
It's our Christian duty to care for others, and it's a joy and a privilege to be able to do so. Jesus gave us His life - we can give some material objects to ease the distress of the brethren.
James 2:15-16
If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
KJV
