Thursday afternoon before work

I'm already ready to go. Brandon will get ready in just a bit.

I've fallen behind on the light bill and now it's urgent that it be paid. I don't have a clue where the money will come from. I'll tell Brandon that we should maybe be prepared to be without electric for a couple of days until we can gather the funds to pay the bill in full.

The last few months working at Arby's, not making a lot, and spending so much on gas made a huge dent in my budget and now, even though I've paid SOMETHING every month, it has all caught up with me. It will get better, I know, now that gas prices are down plus we're not taking so many trips back and forth. But for today, it's looking bleak. Please pray with me that we can find the funds to pay this right away so our power stays on.

This is discouraging, to say the least. My hope is to eventually move from this place plus get another vehicle. But first things first. I must keep the current bills paid before I can do anything else. Moving will get us closer to work and to town. We live about 15 miles out. Another, cheaper operating vehicle will save money, too. Even if we have to spend more for rent closer in, in the long run it will be cheaper than traveling so far every day.

There's much to be done before a move, though. A lot of "stuff" has to be sorted and some will have to be given away on FreeCycle or sold. We also have to consider our dogs. Two of them are very old but still around and we need a place where we can have them until they pass from this world. Plus we have a cat that has been with us for about 14 years, and a small inside dog. See the problems?

I firmly believe this will all come together, though, in God's good time.
