The upcoming week

Sunday was a total loss as far as most things are concerned. Brandon and I were both so exhausted from the work week that we overslept by many hours, missing church in the morning and then too groggy in the afternoon to go. Around 7 PM we decided we were hungry, so we got ready and went to eat in town.

We went to Village Inn. I don't know if these are all over or not, but honestly I doubt we'll be going back. The food was ok...except Brandon's fish was far undercooked so he had to send it back. The thicker end of mine was also not done, but I just kept it on my plate and ate other things. The service was a bit lackluster as well. Although the waitress was very sweet she just wasn't on her toes. It took forever to get Brandon's fish back. I was brought a vegetable I didn't order, and it took a long time to finally get the veggie I did order. At the end of it all, we had to remind the waitress to bring us our check and that took some time, as well. She did give us free pie, though, and because the underdone fish wasn't her fault we left her a tip because she was a very nice girl. It may be that other restaurants in this chain do just fine; our local one isn't so great, though.

We'll work closing Monday night, then we're off Tuesday because we got called in to work the other day when I thought we'd have the whole day off. I'll pick up refills for my meds Tuesday afternoon.

I'm beginning to really enjoy knitting, although I am not very advanced. For now, I'm making a dish cloth. Pretty simple stuff, I know, but it gives me a good workout for knitting and I'm getting faster at it and the work is smoother. I downloaded a PDF of knitting instructions from Lion Brand Yarn's website and the illustrations and explanations are very clear. Of course, you can also view them online and go step-by-step learning to knit, if you want.

Lion Brand Yarn is one of my all-time favorite sites for crochet, knitting board, and now knitting patterns and instructions - all free.

Guess it's time to finish the laundry so we'll have something to wear to work, eh?
