With your boots on

In the movie "Secondhand Lions", one of the repeated phrases, which denoted someone who lived life to the fullest until the moment of death, was "He died with his boots on". Now, I have to admit, I like wearing boots. I only have two pairs of them. One is a black shiny pair with a short heel. The other pair is a fudge-brown suede looking boot with lacing up the front and a moccasin style foot. Both pairs are comfortable and go with various outfits of mine. They are fairly warm, too. And they weren't very expensive.

If I had the money to spare, I'd love to have more boots, in varying colors and styles. I especially like the look of Ugg Classic Short. They are clunky and would look great with my denim skirts, I think. But alas, I can't afford the price of them even though they offer free shipping. It's not that they are exhorbitantly priced. In fact, the price is right considering they are real leather and sheepskin, which promises to serve the wearer well and keep the ol' tootsies toasty.

I found a pair of tall purplish colored ones on the site, too.

Wouldn't that be a pretty pair to wear with my grape colored moleskin skirt?? Who knows, maybe if I'm a good girl, I'll find a pair of these under the Christmas tree. Now I need a nice chenille sweater to go with the skirt, and perhaps a pretty blouse to peek out from under it.
