Mississippi news - Part 5
After eating and visiting, pictures were taken. I'd forgotten my camera, so I didn't get to take any. I hope someone shares pictures with me.
I wanted to wait until the sun was low enough to not be in my eyes on the drive back so we left around 4:30. The sun was below the trees by the time we really got on the road again. We stopped once on the way so I could get something to relieve a headache, then again at West Memphis for gas. We got back to town around 10 or a little after and went to Popeye's for a family size chicken meal deal, then headed home.
We were hungry again by that late hour so we all sat at the table and ate a chicken supper. It was tasty and Popeye's makes super good biscuits.
Elizabeth got her stuff out of the car and left around midnight. We all three have today off of work, so we do have recovery time from the trip.
Elizabeth's little dog Tilly went with us on this trip and was very well behaved the whole time. She's a sweet little chihuahua and just delightful to be around. Not snappy at people or barking a lot. We left Sassy here since Kevin would be home this weekend and he took care of her. She is NOT as pleasant for others to be around, so this wouldn't have been a good trip for her to take.
