Birthday furniture shopping
We did it! We shopped at a couple of furniture stores and found just the couch for me. It's a chocolate brown 100% leather. It's cushy and soft, too, and has a console that lets down in the middle for a table with drink holders, plus a pocket to store things like your remote control or TV Guide.
The most amazing thing is that it was only $388 plus tax!
Moving it in here was the hard part. We wound up pulling the porch nearly all the way down just to get it in the door! Before you panic, you should know the porch needed to be redone anyway, so that's a step we'd have to take in rebuilding. I've got to get out there on the next nice day and prune away a lot of my jasmine, though, so we can actually get the porch away from the house! It's all grown through the lattice on the front so there's a lot of pruning to do. Link
