Preparing for the couch
I was very busy Thursday getting ready for a new couch. Can you tell I'm getting excited? Well, I'm easily amused and the prospect of a new piece of furniture amuses me very much.
I've cleaned and tossed and rearranged (some rearranging was only in my mind). I've even planned to get a doggie bed for my Sassy. See, I'm going to try to train her to stay off the couch. Wish me luck since she's always been allowed on it. I think that maybe if she has a cozy, soft, warm bed of her own she might be inclined to lay there instead of on the new couch.
Now the cat will be another story. I can't think of any way to teach her to stay off the new couch. Can you? She's old and arrogant. I'm pretty sure her thoughts will be that she'll allow US to sit on HER new couch!

They say that we don't own cats, that they own us. Cats are "pride" animals so we are part of their pride.
Good luck with the pets and congrats on the new couch. I love new furniture too. I loved it when my living room set was brand new. :)
