Moving into the new century
But not moving today. Where we live, there is no such thing as cable television or local access to wireless internet. Nope. We live too far out in the country, I guess, so the cable companies don't think it's important to run any kind of cable, be it fiber cable or any other, out to where we are.
Yes, we have neighbors. Lots of them. But we either must use an antenna or get a satellite dish to receive television programs. We're not in some wilderness area. We're actually only about 12 to 15 miles from the nearest towns of any size. With all the potential for customers out here, you'd think someone would be ready and willing to move us all into this century and provide some cable access.
