Taxes, ugh

I had my taxes figured today but since I owe some, I will have to send in a voucher. I should actually be able to pay them in about a month or so. My problem was that I didn't spend enough on business related items to offset the paid writing income. Lesson learned!

This year, I'll make sure to make purchases enough to have good write-offs, if I have to look into the office space Connecticut has to offer! I've got to remain mindful continually of ways I can buy stuff that will be used for business and tax advantages.

Are you making sure to save receipts on absolutely everything related to business...like buying a laptop computer (portion can be taken each year, I think), other computer gear, repairs to computer, ink cartridges for printer, postage, boxes, envelopes, etc., for mailing stuff?

Not selling on eBay last year was what really hurt me when tax time came. I've already run some auctions this year and will be doing that regularly again till the end of the year. I get more write offs from eBay and PayPal fees than from almost anything else.
