Chillin
Guess what? I actually had to turn the heat on in my house early this morning! I only ran it long enough to knock the chill out of the air so I could get dressed for work, but for it to be that cool and it only be September makes me wonder if we are in for a harder winter than we've had the past few years.
I think I'll stockpile some things to help us should we get an ice storm, which happens every few years here in the central part of our state. We're probably due for one again. The biggest thing will be having heat in the house since we are all electric. I'm thinking I should look into getting a kerosene heater, like I used to use. At least then we could block off part of the house and stay warm during an emergency.
However, I doubt we'll have much of a problem from snowmobile exhaust around here. Not too many people own them. They are more likely to have jet skis.
