Guys!
So, what is it with guys who have a woman for a boss?
Yesterday one of the crew guys came in at a very busy time of the day, asking to go behind the counter to look at the schedule on the bulletin board in the crew room. I said no, to just look at the one on the clipboard that's kept of front. I went about my business and pretty soon, he was back by the office wanting to talk to me.
Now, I don't know if he'd been taking the best testosterone booster he could get his hands on or what, but he accused me of disrespecting him in front of everybody and wanted to "talk it out". Sorry. I didn't disrespect him. Crew persons aren't allowed behind the counter when they aren't on duty, and when they're in casual clothes, which applied to him on both counts.
Some other manager let him go back, and I wasn't happy about it. I let this guy know in no uncertain terms that I didn't appreciate him going to another manager who would allow this, and I didn't appreciate him trying to confront me over the issue. I told him he needed to leave, now, and come back when he was on duty, in uniform. Then, he could look at the schedule on the bulletin board.
When it comes to a contest of wit and will, I win.
