Front porch musings

It is so peaceful at my house right now. I'm on the front porch just listening to birds singing. The breeze blows through the wind chimes occasionally, sending me a pleasant song. The same breeze carries the heady scent of honeysuckles with it.

I can hear a little traffic on the highway, but the dense growth of trees between my house and the highway buffers the noise.

The sun is filtered through light, high clouds and it's cool enough to enjoy the out-of-doors. My gardens are growing well and some flowers are blooming. I bit ago I saw a Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly dancing merrily among the plants before he flew away to dance in someone else's garden.

Yes, the peace here is hard to leave when it's time to go to work.
