Tuesday day off activities
I did get a few things accomplished out in the yard today. There were a couple of totes of my belongings still out front from when I got them out of storage. I sorted through them, throwing away unnecessary packaging and items I don't need. I found a few cute things to put in my flower beds - angels, glass mushroom, and a little ceramic skunk. Not sure where I got the skunk but he's pretty cute sitting in the flower bed.
I bought a citronella plant at the store up the road and got it repotted. It's now living on my front porch. I'll let you know if it really helps keep mosquitoes away. I saw a really huge turtle shaped plant pot at that store and may go back and get it. I like things like that. They add whimsy to the garden area.
I bagged up trash and took it out. Also, emptied my garden buggy so it would be ready for me to haul compost materials to my compost heap. There are still quite a few leaves around that need to be raked up and composted. A few days I set some fishing worms free in the heap, so maybe they'll find plenty to eat there.
Gave Dog a bath tonight. She needed it! She's been playing outside a lot more lately, since she follows me in and out. So, she's getting dirty a lot faster than before!
Of course, I watered the gardens. On some days we get those quickly-forming spring storms, but often there isn't enough rain in them to do much good. They are more noise and light show than anything.
