Earthquake central
We've had a lot of seismic events the past couple of weeks in our area. The USGS gave us information about this morning's earthquake, which I actually felt a little of even out here where I live.
I was up, on the computer, when it felt like someone was shaking my sofa a little. Even my dog jumped up, then stood in the middle of the room and whined.
You can see by the list of recent earthquakes that our central Arkansas area has had a lot of them lately. Some believe the oil and gas wells have a lot to do with it, although "experts" say they aren't causing the quakes. I have to admit, since the influx of so many drilling rigs, the incidence of tremors has greatly increased so my thought is that there is a connection.

I came across your blog. I live in Southern California so I have lived through some real big ones. During the 94 quake I really thought I was going to die. Ever since I have been getting prepared for earthquakes and other types of disasters. I came across a website that I think can help you and anyone else who wants to prepare. www.survivalkitsonline.com has great kits at affordable prices. I bought a kit for each of my children, one for my parents and one for my husband's work. It feels better to be prepared. I wish you luck. Tina P.

Thanks for the info! There are many here that say we won't get a big, damaging one, but I think it can happen since we are on a fault line. If that same fault line can change the course of the Mississippi River and form Reelfoot lake, then it can certainly change things around here!
