Recent earthquakes

We have had an astounding number of earthquakes here in the past few days. Now, keep in mind, I live in Arkansas -- not California -- so earthquakes aren't something that we're used to!

From the news I learned there have been 45 small earthquakes in the past couple of days, one of them a 4.0. It shook houses and popped doors open, and just pretty well unnerved a lot of folks. No damage has been reported, but I've got to think that houses around here are up to being shaken.

I figure people are going to be heading to the insurance companies by the droves now, not only for cheap car insurance but for insurance against earthquakes.

I felt one a couple of days ago at my house. It felt like the house dropped just a bit, but nothing else happened, thank goodness. However, I did not feel the 4.0 that, this morning, hit the small town where I work. So many of my friends felt it, though, and were just hoping it would not return anytime soon!
