Thanksgiving weekend

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving last week! I worked Thanksgiving morning, then left soon after lunch to head to Mom's, where I spent the rest of the weekend. I did NOT go shopping on Black Friday.

The weekend was spent in relaxing activities such as working jigsaw puzzles and watching the Thanksgiving Day parades, which Sis had recorded on her DVR. Of course, there was plenty of food to eat, too.

Sis and Mom decided to not have the traditional turkey but opted instead for chicken. Since there wasn't going to be a large family gathering this year, the chicken was more than enough to feed us all for several days. There was also bread, mashed potatoes, dressing, cranberry sauce, gravy, ham, and an assortment of pickles and olives. They also prepared deviled eggs, but I'm not much of an egg fan so I passed on those.

Sis had picked up some freshly made yeast rolls from a local eatery and I brought a loaf of Artisan style bread. I actually brought the dough and finished it on Friday morning.

In all, we had plenty to eat and plenty for leftovers, just like any Thanksgiving.
