I feel the earth move...
Ok...so I live in a part of the country that doesn't seem to be immune to anything anymore. We get tornadoes, ice storms, heavy snowfalls, floods, earthquakes -- it seems like there's always something exciting going on.
Just this morning, there was an earthquake a few minutes before we opened the store. At 4:50 AM, we heard a boom, sounding like thunder, and felt an earthquake that made the news. Apparently, there were several yesterday as well, but I didn't notice them. They happened while it was pretty busy. Others, though, did feel them and asked me if I'd heard the precursory boom followed by the tremor. No, I was otherwise occupied.
Even some of the out-of-state TV new stations are reporting on these earthquakes, so we're making news all over the place, although it really isn't the way we'd like.
If the earthquakes keep getting worse, folks are going to have to increase their home, RV, and 5th wheel insurance to cover earthquake damages! Or maybe, move to a location where we aren't in danger of being swallowed up by the earth.
