Rain and the window

Rain!! Finally, we're getting some much needed rainfall! Along with the rain, of course, comes wind and lightning, but at least my thirsty gardens are perking up.

I watered them 3 or 4 times a week, but nothing replaces a natural rainfall to really help growing plants. The storms have also brought cooler weather to us, which the bunnies very much appreciate. I haven't needed to use the fan or ice bottles in their hutch for the last couple of days. They are also livelier and seem happy with the cooler temperatures.

The bad news: My driver side window stopped rolling up. It's stuck on "down", which means I've had to cover the window with a large piece of  bubble wrap that came in a package I received a few months ago. It works, as long as the truck is parked. I take it out to drive, though, and the rain can still blow in on me. I'm hoping to get that fixed with my next payday money. Not sure what happened to it. It wasn't making a noise or being fussy about rolling up. (It's an electric window.) It just suddenly...quit.

This morning, my truck seat was quite wet because I'd forgotten to cover the window last night. Wouldn't you know it, we got a hard rain storm this morning, which meant even a towel on the seat didn't fully protect me from getting a wet derriere on the way to work.
