Wednesday plus

We are home from radiation. We also stopped at Walmart and picked up a few groceries, plus some dog food.

We ate lunch as soon as we got home and now Danny is making us some milkshakes. :)

I feel like we can breathe again, and like a weight is off our shoulders. I know that there are more chemo treatments, and maybe even more radiation, down the road. But for a few days at least we have a respite from all that. Danny goes back to the radiation dr. in two weeks. He sees the oncologist next week, but no chemo. This means we could have 3 weeks of no treatments - time to recuperate a bit, rest a bit, and maybe even feel like normal people a bit.

The radiation dr. wants to wait about getting any more scans until Danny has had a couple more chemo treatments, but he'll defer to the oncologists orders for that. He said that it's best to wait just a little longer because the tumor might not show much shrinkage at this point, which could be very discouraging for us. But later, the shrinkage (if there is any) will show up better and will be more encouraging.

Praising God for your respite. Please be careful not to overdo around your home and do take a few minutes to pamper yourself. (perhaps give yourself a hand massage). Sometimes when things slow down a little our bodies fall apart somewhat. Praying for you. May the joy of the Lord be your strength.
