Argh! No church again today!
I am not happy about that. Really. I'm not. I figured we'd oversleep, but then when I wanted to go to a church that has a 3 PM service, I couldn't get Brandon going in time to get there for that. I guess I'm going to have to have a serious talk with him about us getting to church somewhere on Sundays. I'm tired of missing it. My soul is hungry for the preached word and the fellowship of believers.
See, I work among so many who are not believers. Or if they are, even the FBI couldn't find enough evidence to convict them of it.
Now, I'll be going to that class on Tuesday which is to further my position at McDonalds. I tell you the truth, if I didn't have to work this job to pay the bills, I'd sure enough go do something else. But they hired me in as an associate manager, with benefits, and unless and until I can grab onto something similar, I'll have to stick it out there.
Can I tell you a secret? If I thought for a moment that I could do as well at Chic-fil-a, I'd go there. They are a Christian company and aren't even open on Sunday. Did you realize that?
But for now, I'll stay at McDonalds. Mainly because Brandon helped me get on there and I don't want to embarrass him or let him down by quitting. I'll give it some time, but I may eventually check out Chic-fil-a and see what they can offer me.
In the meantime, please pray for my soul's health.
