I've put chicken breasts into the tabletop roaster. I added salt-free seasonings and put some liquid smoke into the bottom of the roaster. It's smelling delicious. This has been a very dark, overcast day so the aroma of good food cooking is very comforting.
I really like smoked meats and the easiest way to infuse that flavor into almost any meat is to use the liquid smoke. It's good with vegetables, too, to give them a flavor of having been cooked on the grill without all the bother of cooking out. These days, I really don't have a lot of time to do any outdoor grilling, so this is the next best thing.
I have to work tonight (Tuesday) so I've spent some quiet time reading a magazine. Since I have the time today, I'm going to put some herbs into the dehydrator, too, so I'll have more for winter use.
