Zoo Talk: Easy Sunday off

I've had a pretty relaxed Sunday off, and I'm off Monday as well. I slept a little late this morning since I didn't have anyplace to go. Well, after I went back to sleep really early this morning. Son called to ask about some chicken wings that are in my freezer, saying a friend of his would be out later to get some of them. At least that's what I think he said. I felt like I was talking in my sleep, so maybe he didn't actually call at all. Friend never showed up.

I got my house cleaned up the way I'd been wanting to do. I moved some things around in my bedroom. I gave Dog a bath, then took a shower since she gets me wet all over when I give her a bath.

The 1st Assistant Manager where I work called this morning to chat about this and that concerning work. We didn't talk long. I think he just needed to get someone else's input about some issues.

I fixed some chicken for myself. Just the chicken. I didn't feel like fixing anything else. Gave some to Dog, but it upset her tummy for some reason. Guess I'll stick with just dog food for her from now on.

I painted my nails with two coats of color and a clear topcoat.

Then I took a long nap. By long, I mean I fell asleep around 7 PM and woke up at 2 AM. When I woke up I thought I heard rain dripping from the roof. I looked outside and there was some water dripping from the roof. There was also about 2 inches of snow and tons of huge, fluffy flakes still falling! I certainly wasn't expecting that!

I thought the NWS said we were due some frozen precip on Monday through Tuesday, but I didn't know they meant this early on Monday.

Update: It started sleeting on top of the snow around 2:30 AM. Great.
