HAPPY PRESIDENT'S DAY!
I woke up fairly early Monday. I sure didn't need to sleep all day again. I watched a couple of movies (Fame and Paranormal Activity) and reviewed them on my Talkie Zoo blog. Then, after taking Dog for a walk, I set about to do some things in my house.
First, I trimmed the fat and damaged portions from a cut of deer meat and put it in the table-top oven to roast for the rest of the day. It takes time to get deer meat tender and flavorful. I seasoned it with Spike, a natural seasoning with lots of flavor, sprinkled some salt-free all-purpose seasoning mix, black pepper, and dried onions on it. The trimmings from it will go to the outside dog. I don't like to give Dog raw meat. She's too used to dog food and cooked people food. I added a cup of wine to the roast after it had been cooking for a couple of hours.
I cleaned that mess up, then proceeded to knock out some stuff in the bedroom again. I'd like to paint in there sometime in the spring, if spring ever arrives! I noticed a few stray snowflakes while I was walking Dog, so I really hope all that passes us by. These weekly snowstorms are getting pretty old.
Last Friday I forgot to take the trash to the end of the driveway, so I dragged that out there today so it's not forgotten again. I know, I'm a few days early but with my work schedule lately, it's better to do this now than to wait.
Finally, I showered, applied face moisturizer, and headed into town to upload some of these blog posts! Thought I better get them done before anymore bad weather hit us, since it's forecasted again for the upcoming weekend.
