Pleasant day off
I had a day off today and it was really nice. I made two loaves of wheat bread and a tray of crackers. The crackers still didn't turn out quite like I'd expected, but at least they do taste better than the last ones I made.
I ran one errand and that was to the little store up the road. There, I picked up a sugar baby watermelon, a cantaloupe, some home grown potatoes, a gallon of raw milk (for cheese making), and some packets of yeast. Most things at this little store are reasonably priced plus it saves me gas to go there instead of all the way into town.
So, I did a little housework and baked some bread. These quiet activities are enjoyable for me. I still have a lot to do in my house, though.
I am trying to get rid of a lot of stuff. I have too much stuff. Since I don't really sew anymore, I'll donate my fabrics and most notions to Goodwill. I also have clothes that haven't seen the light of day in a long time, so they are going to be donated as well. The fact is, over the years I've collected up way too much stuff and I just don't need it all!
