Never did make bread yesterday. Piddled with this and that, then went to pick Brandon up from work. On the way I dropped the application off at the dry cleaners.

Brandon and I went up to Battle's Store and I got seed potatoes. I'll try to get those cut up and laid out today so the cut edges will cure. I'll have to put them on the card table back in the bedroom since it looks like we'll be getting rain for the next few days. That will stop my gardening efforts for a few days.

I went to the ladies meeting last night. Fixed a baked ziti dish to take and it was nearly all eaten. There were only maybe 15 or so ladies there, but it was nice that way. Plenty of food and desserts, of course, and more intimate fellowship. They showed a video after we ate. It was Bill Gaither and Mark Lowry reminiscing over some of the funny/goofy things that have happened through the years they've been having concerts together. Mark Lowry sings very well but he's also a comedian, so the video kept us all in stitches. Got home around 10:30.

I won one of the door prizes last night. A potted primrose. It says it can be planted outside in the shade, so I'll probably try to do that after all the rain passes through. It's very pretty with bronze and yellow blossoms on it.

While there last night, I learned that the bread store I shop at is hiring, so I'll go by there Monday for an application. I picked up an application at Arby's yesterday and will give it to the associate manager tomorrow morning at church. He goes to church where Brandon does so I'll go, too.

Brandon seemed to think I could probably handle Arby's ok. He worked there about 3 weeks then went back to McD's. He said it was pretty slow there most of the time and he would run out of things to do.

I dropped the application off at the dry cleaners, but the owner is out of town till Monday so I didn't get to talk to her.

Oh, I got something for Mom at the nursery Thursday. A statue of St. Francis. I remember her saying she wanted one awhile back, and ever since I've tried to keep my eyes peeled for one. I don't know when I'll be able to get it to her, but I figure this can be an early Mother's Day gift? lol

This morning I took Brandon to work. For some reason, I was exceptionally tired when I woke up and still feel rather groggy. I don't know how much I'll get accomplished today, but I need to try to get a few things done at least. He'll call me later when he's ready to come home.
