A bit of excitement today
We brought that porch home in the van. I backed into the other driveway, which we haven't used in quite some time. While we were unloading the aforementioned porch out of the back of the van, we heard a crackling sound. The tall grass under the van was on fire!!
I jumped in the van and pulled it forward, back onto a clear place in the gravel. Brandon grabbed the water hose and turned it on. We tried spraying the fire and the water started dribbling out the end of the hose. Honestly, I could have spit more than that hose was producing. So, I held the hose while Brandon ran to see if it was kinked. It was. He unkinked it and I got the fire out.
Praise the Lord that the van didn't catch fire while we were still parked there! It's already not running very well, but we certainly don't need to burn it down.
Did you ever feel like you're in a sit-com?
