Car shopping
With the need for a different car growing ever more urgent, Brandon and I shopped again today for one. I think we may have found the place I want to buy one even if I didn't pick a car yet. But there is a Mustang convertible there that's pretty nice and I think the price is right. It's low mileage and has all the bells and whistles.
I'm going back on Thursday morning to see what else they have. The lady behind the counter told me the "guys" were gone today and Tuesday, buying cars and should have more to choose from by Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning.
My sis, Mom, and brother in law will be coming down Thursday to help me get into a car by loaning me the down payment and the sales tax. I can do the insurance and I can make the payments ok, I think. I do dread having payments but there's really no other way for me to get into a decent car right now.
Still, I'll be looking for something to where I don't have to borrow so much from family members, so the Mustang may not wind up being mine. It's $800 down and I'd like a lower down payment than that. This is a "you work, you ride" car lot so I know the cars are higher than if I could just pay cash, but that's life I guess.
The lady was very confident that they could put me in a car, though. I explained my situation to her. How that Danny passed away in December and I'm now in dire need of a car since the van is going downhill fast. Since she's not an actual salesman, she didn't mind listening and encouraging me.
Anyway, I'll need to get all the car business finished in time to go to work at 3.
