Move to the West Coast?

And I don't mean California. I'm talking about Washington. In particular, Kirkland, WA.

For several years, I've thought it might be very nice to live in Washington. It seems like their winters are no worse than ours here in Arkansas, and they have the Rockies in their backyard. Brandon's friend William moved to near Seattle and he's liking the state and his community very well.

The summers in Washington are temperate as well. I've occasionally browsed various websites, looking at that part of the country. I've sat and wondered what it would be like to live out there, have the big woods as my neighbor, and enjoy the gorgeous mountain lakes and streams.

Kirkland, Washington is very near Seattle. That would give a citizen all the advantages of the big city and the blessings of the country. Contacting some of the Kirkland real estate agents can help make a decision about moving to this lovely city.

Here's part of what one agent has to say:

Kirkland has an historic town center, situated along the eastern shores of Lake Washington. It boasts a marina, public art & galleries, fabulous restaurants and shops, and all are within a short walking distance of the downtown core. It also has all the resources a family would want; a library, performing arts center, baseball field and team, skateboard park, public swimming pool, teen center, senior center, public farmers market, movie theatre, dance & acting studios, and many parks with access to the lake. The community has tempered growth by limiting building heights and maintaining a large number of public parks, all which add to the friendly feel.

Doesn't that sound like the hometown you'd like to hail from? The real estate market in Kirkland is varied and it wouldn't be at all hard to find your perfect home. From smaller, older homes to new mansions, there is housing for every family and lifestyle available right now in Kirkland.

Oh, I'm being picky picky picky as I'm catching up with your blog. (Go to bed? Me?)

Actually, in Western Washington you're up against the Cascade Mountains, not the Rockies. The effect is about the same though.
