Budget

I need to sit down and write out a clear budget. I generally have a pretty good idea where the money needs to go and where spent money has gone, but I want to make sure. I think it would be worth my time to get this down on paper. That way there's no mistake.

I'll write the bills down, the days they are due, and the amounts. Then I'll estimate the other things like utilities, gas, propane, groceries, etc. I'll estimate on the high side so I don't come up short.

See, I'd like, if possible, to pay more on the car payments than is required so I can pay it off early. I despise making payments and the sooner I'm done with them, the better I'll feel. Then maybe I can apply that same money toward another place to live or at least just save it.

Saving is hard, though, isn't it? Something always seems to come along to take the money we're trying to hold on to. Still, if I'll save X amount each payday, just as if I'm making a payment (which I am..to myself), I can garner enough money to do other things with besides the day-to-day expenses.
