Check marks
My favorite design for a check is "Cheap". Cheap checks are worth just as much to my bank account as expensive ones. I guess it's like choosing a black telephone in the old days. The plain old black ones called the same people as the blue Princess style, so why bother with the color and design?
However, if I could get my favorite check designs for the same low price as the cutsie ones, I might be persuaded to go more personalized. What would I put on them? How about some yarn and crochet hooks? How about my monogram done in some font that looks like embroidery?
If I owned my own business, I'd like to have something on the checks to represent that business. I might want business checks that have a background picture of whatever the business is that I do. Since I like selling books more than just about anything, I think a background of bookshelves would be fun. Add a stack of books as an icon next to my name and address on the checks, and I might actually consider buying them!
I've seen business checks that have some catchy pictures on them, and they help you remember the business the person is in who gave you the check. So, what do you think? What would you like to tell the world about you when they look at your check?
The type of check I prefer is just the original stand-by - top tearing, you get a check register in the box, and you pay very little for it.
