Letting go
Because Younger Daughter's boyfriend is taking some auto body classes, I found some things while we were moving stuff that he will probably be able to make good use of. They are air tools, including a heavy duty buffer that runs on air. I will never have a use for these tools, so I gave them to Younger Daughter so that the boyfriend could make use of them. He was very pleased to see them.
She and the boyfriend came over, night after night, to help me pack and move boxes. He was here to help put Danny in the ambulance one night when he got really sick and dehydrated. He's been right beside Younger Daughter for the past few years, helping her adjust to her father's loss. Danny already loved him and probably would have given these air tools to him himself, if he were still with us.

It's wonderful that your daughter has such a caring and wonderful beau. I hope she realizes (and understands) what an important thing that is in life, and what a special thing that is to have found.

I really think she found her soulmate in this young man.
