Appliance musings
I have been busy cleaning my fridge this morning. Not the one already in this house. My own fridge, that we put into storage for a month. A word to the wise: Clean and sanitize a fridge before you store it.
I wasn't planning on the fridge being in the storage unit for as long as it was, and I was glad to get it over to this house. But I can't use it until I've got it completely cleaned and sanitized. It was AWFUL inside and smelled really bad. So, I've been using scrubbing bubbles and a water hose to clean it inside and out.
I need to also get some kind of bleach cleaner to really remove any remaining odors and finish the sanitizing job. Then it will be ready to move into the house and get the ice maker hooked up. I will have to switch the hinges and door handles around, too, for it to open correctly for this kitchen.
I've got to get another washing machine. I really want one of the newer, low energy use ones but I'll probably have to settle for a regular old washer (probably used) for the time being. Last night I washed out some of my clothes in the bathtub and hung them on a drying rack on the back deck to dry. Mostly, it was work clothes and they should be ready by the time I need to head to work this afternoon.

Glad to hear you've almost got all your "stuff" into your house and ready to use.
I laughed when I read about you needing to switch the handle and hinges on your fridge in order for it to open correctly for your new kitchen. My fridge has the handle and hinges on the "wrong" side, and that's because I insisted it be left that way when it was delivered. I was so used to having a fridge that opened a certain way, that when I moved here, and got a new fridge, I still insisted on the door opening that way, since it was what I was used to, even though it "should" open the other way.

There was already a fridge here when we started moving in, so I sorta got used to the door opening the other way now..lol. Mine has an ice maker so that's why I want it in here. :) But truly, it's really whatever works for the cook!
