New grandson
My Oldest Son's wife had her baby yesterday. He tried to call me but the signal dropped before I could answer my phone. He did call Youngest Son, though, and told him the baby was 9 pounds, 8 ounces, and 20 inches long. That's a big baby! It's the same as Youngest Son when he was born.
She had to have him by C-section because he was due but not turned. I know his first name is Devon. Right now, though, that's all I know. I'll go visit them after they're home so they're both more comfortable and relaxed. Wife will be recovering for some time from this.
Since I have some vacation days planned, I'll probably head over there at some point in the next few days.

Congrats on the new grandbaby. He IS big, isn't he? Devon is a pretty name. I'll tell Mother about this right away.

I don't know if they are going to be home on Thursday or not, but I plan to visit them either at home or at the hospital. I want to pick up something cute for the baby, of course, before I see him. They will probably try to go to the family camp over the weekend for at least a short visit.
