Family matters

Sis is busy blogging about events around her town and the foods they are preparing to take on the vacation trip to Branson. Her blog, Sixty-Something, has all the juicy details of the foods, including a scrumptious sounding chili recipe I can hardly wait to sink my spoon into! I do like me some chili!

I know Younger Daughter was disappointed she couldn't make it up to visit them this past weekend. She just loves her visits up there. Daughter is super family oriented and every gathering is a delight for her. Naturally, she especially loves being petted by her Grandmother and Aunt while she's visiting. :) Well, I can't blame Mom or Sis. I think Daughter is pretty special, too. I hope she gets another chance for a visit after the Branson trip.

As for me, I picked up a light jacket and some comfortable shoes while shopping today. I didn't spend too much since I wanted to save my money for the trip, but felt like I needed these two items not only for vacation but for the rest of the year.

Mom admonished me in a letter to not think about work while I'm on the trip with them. That's really hard for me since just a day or two off and I go back to drama at work. Not real drama - just things they really could take care of but act like they can't.
