Fringe benefits

I learned just yesterday that as a General Manager I qualify for completely free medical and dental insurance! This will really help my budget a lot. No longer will those things be deducted from my paycheck so I'll have a little more money in my pocket.

It occurs to me that anyone who is willing to do this job, and do it correctly, can achieve the same things I have. It does take a level of commitment, of course, but that's true with any job you want to be successful at. I've learned and stretched and been challenged, sometimes to the point of nearly giving up. But I haven't given up. I've plugged away until I achieved certain goals.

It helps, of course, that my supervisor is one of my biggest cheerleaders in the corporation. She continually encourages me and tells me I'm doing a great job. She tells me, when I'm faced with something I'm not sure about, that she has a lot of faith that I can "do it", whatever it is.

Of course, on the other side of that coin, my family also encourages me. Sons, Sis, Mom, Daughters - they all keep me going forward. I don't think I could have reached any goals without all of them behind me.
