High school reunions

I have yet to go to a high school reunion. It's not that I never wanted to. It's just that when they've been held, I was in the midst of raising children or I lived in another state.

I'd learned last year that one of my classmates passed away. Considering the asbestos that we had in our school growing up, it wouldn't surprise me if his illness was cancer. It also makes me wonder how many of us might wind up being affected by this same material.

Nevertheless, I do hope to be able to attend my next reunion, which will be the 40 year reunion. Man, that's a long time!
