Ceiling fan episode
When we moved into this little house, we discovered that the ceiling fan in one of the bedrooms didn't work. Well, the light worked but the fan wouldn't come on. We just figured the motor was worn out in it.
Sunday, while shopping for other incidentals, Son decided to get a new ceiling fan for that room. Having one that operates correctly will help save on the AC since it would move the air around to make the room more comfortable. The fan was a small, inexpensive one and he installed it right away when we got home. Well, it didn't turn either.
He had wired it in exactly the way the other one came out. I got the installation instructions out and made a nice discovery. It wasn't correctly wired. The way it was done, the fan wasn't even getting power! Son rewired the new fan and it worked perfectly.
Yeah, most likely the other one works, too, but just wasn't installed correctly. I'll let Son-in-law know about this. He may be able to use the old fan someplace else. There really isn't another place in this house that needs one since all the rooms have them already.

Ann, I'm glad you got to go visit Danny's grave. I know that was heartbreaking. It is such a nice stone. I know that must make you feel good. I have gotten into genealogy and I've gone to several cemeteries photography my relatives stones. It's so important to have a stone. I wish they weren't so expensive. Mom donated her body to the medical school here and we have her ashes, but plan to put up a stone and bury them there.

I'm glad there's a stone there now. Brother in law asked me if there was anything at all he could do that I wanted done. I said just put red roses there because that was Danny's favorite flower. Other than that, it was all good.
