Surprise homecoming

I got a bit surprise last night (Thursday). I got a text message from my son who lives out of state, saying he was heading this way. I wasn't sure if it was for good or for a visit.

When he got here, I learned it's for good! I'm so happy!

He's staying with me right now. He'll look for a job and try to get settled as soon as possible. I'm hoping he can find a job with health insurance and other benefits. Either that or maybe he can find some good medical and dental discounts around here.

In the meantime, his vehicle broke down right as he got to Big Town, so younger Son picked him up. That means he'll need to buy a vehicle soon, too. His is beyond reasonable repair.

This afternoon, Son and Other Son will work on my truck again. They found a part it needs at a salvage yard, so they'll get it replaced. Maybe by tonight I'll have it up and running again. It's been about two weeks since it broke down and I'm really past ready to drive it again!
