Wet fall weather

We have had an amazing amount of rainfall here. If the temperatures were to drop suddenly, I think we'd have a lot of ice around.

The other night, on the way home from work, there was water over the road at the edge of town. Further out of town, several gravel roads and driveways had washed out so badly that there was a thick layer of mud and gravel all the way across the highway. I drove more slowly than usual, hoping to not slide in any of these areas. I got home just fine.

One of the trees in the front yard lost a rather large limb that was apparently pretty rotten anyway. It landed in my flower bed, but at this time of the year, there wasn't anything to damage.

Yesterday and today have been much drier, though, with clear blue skies and cooler temperatures. It's really feeling like fall today.
