I thought the girl who works at McDonald's was supposed to mow here yesterday. Son informed me she is supposed to come today, but she hasn't made it so far and it's getting pretty hot outside. I hope she gets here before we both head to work. See, the mower has to be jump started across the starter. The battery is no good. Oldest Son has a battery for me to have for the mower, but we haven't had a chance to go by there and get it yet.

Honestly, one of us can do the mowing I think. There's really no need to pay someone to use our own mower, but I think Son already promised the girl so we'll stick by that. Next time, though, we'll just do it ourselves. I still don't have a trimmer and need to get one so I can go around the trees and flower beds, and up next to the house and decks.

I'll just be glad when it's all done. This is a beautiful piece of property and is pretty impressive when the lawn is fixed up right. Besides that, mowing will help prevent snakes from coming close to the house and I can put out tick poison over the yard. We have an abundance of them here. They get on us and on the dog, so I really need to be rid of these disease-carrying pests.
