Paying off the car

I think I'm going to do some balance transfers from my online account to my personal account. I'd like to get a weedeater but I don't want to use my regular budget money to do that.

However, my really big news is that today, my car will be totally paid off! I thought I'd be doing that on Saturday, but there was no way to get my check cashed after I got paid. It was a holiday weekend and I had to work anyway, so today's the day, instead. I'll have my paid off note in my hand and will receive my title in the mail in a week or so. It feels so good to have that payment over with.

I'll continue to drive this car for awhile but really need to either get another one or see how much it will cost to get things repaired on the one I'm driving. It needs the AC fixed, a tune-up, new tires on the back, and a couple other things for it to be in top running order.

Congrats Ann! I know the feeling when something is finally paid off, and it's wonderful. Of course, something always seems to "crop up" right away that the money you're saving needs to be spent instead, but it's still a good feeling to have one less monthly obligation!

I have so enjoyed reading your blog entries. I understand the single mom working syndrome oh so well. Paying off a bill is a big deal, period. God bless you!
