Have to work after all

Well, phooey. Yesterday, I was scheduled to be off today due to the managers' meeting I had to attend on my scheduled day off. Today, I've learned that not only was I still on the schedule for tonight, but that I am to be there an hour earlier than usual.

Since I just got the position of General Manager, these schedules were already made and I had nothing to do with them. I really don't even know how to make the schedule yet and will learn that in coming days. In the meantime, I guess I'll just make sure I have a clean uniform and plan to get ready early instead of relaxing at home and getting things accomplished.

I guess I should take a positive view and remind myself that this is, in essence, and extra day's pay for me. I wonder if the current GM realizes that? I was on the clock yesterday for the meeting. This makes six days straight I'm working, and will probably throw me into overtime. I like overtime, but it's not good for our labor costs.
