Big news
It looks like I'm going to get to be the general manager of the store I'm working at. I'm nervous and excited about this step in our corporation. Son will be with me all next month, teaching me everything I need to know about being the general manager. In fact, that will be included in the "special event" that's being held. I'll be officially given the store then.
With all the people there, and knowing how things tend to go in meetings like that, there will probably be some give-aways of things like promotional pens, tote bags, tee-shirts, and awards pins for years of service. Our corporate owner will probably be there along with other higher-ups in the company.
I just want to learn all I can and do the best job possible to make the store a success. I shopped after I got off and picked up a new skirt, new hose, and a little makeup so I will look my best tomorrow.

Thanks,Lizzy. The meeting today was a real eye-opener on things I can do to improve sales in my store. Get that? MY store...lol

Thanks, Sis! I'm excited about this advancement. Last year at this time, I wouldn't have thought I was even a candidate for this position, but I think now I can do the job effectively.
