Crafts for money?
As usual, when I'm busy with crafts I wonder if there's a market for anything that I do. It might be interesting to set up a website with an authorize.net shopping cart on it to see if anything I create will sell. It would have to be things I could ship out, like the painted plates or some woven items, of course. But then, I just enjoy creating these things and often give them as gifts instead of trying to sell them.
Maybe I should just concentrate on relaxing while I do them instead of trying to figure out a way to sell them? That might take all the fun out of it!

I love to scrapbook, but have done lots of other crafts in the past. While I sometimes fantasize about being paid to stay home all day and get paid to do what I love to do, I'm thinking no one would buy my albums, LOL! I love them, and other people have "admired" them, but since everyone's style is different, and since what I really enjoy is making things for my family and friends, I think having to make something for someone else that fits their style and tastes, and that is up to their standards, would just ruin the enjoyment for me. So I continue to "fantasize" about having my extraordinary talent discovered one day (said with tongue firmly in cheek!), and just relax and continue to enjoy the creative process.

I actually know of one lady who put themed scrapbook kits together and auctioned them on eBay. She had lots of great tools to work with and doing that helped keep her in scrapbooking supplies! That way, people who want to make pages or albums could just buy a themed kit and put things together themselves. She included some papers, some die cut pieces, and some embellishments. The buyer could use what they wanted to create their own scrapbook pages and make them personal.
I have sold some painted glass items, too. Not commissioned ones. Just some I'd made and decided to let go of. But for me, glass painting is enjoyable and relaxing. Kind of a therapy, y'know?
