DVD player
I learned a few things about my DVD player the other day. I figured out how to get the radio part of it working, so I can listen to radio music while I'm home, when I'm not watching movies. I just had to find the right direction for the thin, wire antenna to go to bring in my favorite radio stations. I also accidentally set the DVD player to use closed captioning, and it took awhile to figure out how to turn that off.
It's a pretty versatile machine. I can play music CDs on it, movie DVDs on it, listen to the radio, and Son can hook his game machine to it if we want to play Scene It! The more I use it, the better I like it.
It has a 5 disk changer so I can load it once and just hit a button on the remote control to go to another disk without having to go change it by hand each time. The surround sound is nice, especially in this house and the way the living room is designed. The high, pine paneling ceilings allow a lot of sound bounce in the room so it's almost like sitting in a theater when you're watching movies or listening to music.
