Power outage

Our power has been off the past two or three hours. We had a pretty nasty storm here. Lots of hard rain and lightening - I don't know if there were any bad warnings or not because it started while I was napping after I got home from work.

When the power went off, I also lost my internet connection. We've been connecting through a Wifi where we are, so I'm assuming that where ever this system is, it's not a wireless Linksys router or it wouldn't have failed tonight.

We're still pretty interested in getting some kind of signal booster out here so that we can use our phones and our wireless aircard connections, but until then, we're happy with at least being able to connect through Wifi.

Because this house is all electric, nothing works once the power goes off. I do have some oil lamps, but they're not here. They're in the storage unit. I've got to get my emergency stuff gathered here. In the South, strong storms can pop up at any time and I want to have everything I need in a "kit" I can get my hands on easily and use, should this happen again - which I'm sure it will.
