Transportation and gas prices

Around here, the price of gas goes up and down a few cents just about every day. I'm not really sure why it does that, but sometimes you can put gas in your car in the morning at one price, and by afternoon, the price has changed. "Experts" are saying that the price is about to level out and remain the same for some time, but that still doesn't mean it's cheap or that it's going down to more affordable levels.

That price is probably why I'm seeing a lot more used Harleys on my trips back and forth to work. It used to be that I'd see a motorcycle only occasionally, but now it seems like a lot of people, mostly guys, are using them for their main transportation to work. I can't blame them. They get a lot better gas mileage than my car does, but I don't see myself riding one because of that. I'm a bit "long in the tooth" to take up motorcycle riding, I think. Besides, how would I take people to work with me?

I often have at least one crew member riding with me, and I'm pretty sure they like sitting in a car. But for those who enjoy riding motorcycles, this is the right kind of weather to do so and they can save some bucks in the process.
