Here, kitty, kitty
On the way home from work, I stopped and picked up cat paraphernalia. I bought litter, cat food, a food/water dish, and a couple of toys for the new kitten. She's getting friendlier, and when I fed her she was really friendly! Son had given her bologna when he brought her home. I don't think she was too crazy about that. I don't blame her. It was a cheap brand and I don't like it either.
I already had a litter box, so I just put the litter in it, and placed it in the bathroom with the kitten. I'll be glad when I can introduce her more to the rest of the house and she can just wander around to her heart's content. I want to get her some kind of cat tower so she can climb out of reach of the dog if play time gets to be too much for her. I'll also probably have to feed her out of reach of the dog, or the dog will go around with tuna breath all the time!
I plan for her to be an inside-all-the-time cat. A little later, I'll get her spayed so we don't have to deal with kittens. Just having one cat is enough, thank you very much.
I'm happy to have a cat again. We've always had cats, and had our old cat at least 15 years. It's seemed odd around here to not have one to greet me when I come home.
